Tamara McGonagle has been involved in theater and performing arts for many years.  She started performing in shows in high school and then continued her love of theater at Johnson State College where she received her B.A. in Performing Arts.  While at college she was a director for a high school summer theater camp and during her senior year worked with several high school theater groups throughout Vermont.  Some of the shows she performed in during college were: Godspell, The Crucible, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Soap Opera, Bedroom Farce, Stone Water Rapture, and Lydie Breeze.  She also performed with the concert choir, the dance troupe, and performed in several musical theater reviews.

 

After college Tamara continued her education and received an MA in Counseling with concentrations in School Guidance Counseling and Expressive Art Therapies from Lesley University. Tamara currently works as a guidance counselor for Pittsfield Middle High School.

 

When not working as a Guidance Counselor Tamara is actively involved in community-theater and has performed in several shows including Oliver, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, Jekyll & Hyde, Steel Magnolias and Nunsense.  She is a regular singer with the NH Music Festival Choir and has just begun singing with the Pemigewasset Choral Society. Tamara is a native to the Lakes Region and resides here with her husband and her dog.
