Rick Morten is a local actor/director/writer and is very excited to be returning for his third year as a camp director at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse. For the past few years Rick has been the artistic director of The Tabula Rasa Theatre Company, a non-profit theatre company here in the Lakes Region. With Tabula Rasa he has directed and produced Nunsense and The Rocky Horror Show, as well as several murder mysteries and musical revues that have been seen across the state. His one-act play, Triple Bluff, was recently submitted to the New York Fringe Festival for consideration in this summer’s festival.

In 2003 Rick toured New Hampshire with the North Country Center for the Arts Children’s Theater tour. Performing ten shows a week he was involved in such favorites as Little Red Riding Hood, Puss-N-Boots, Alice In Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, and Pecos Bill, sometimes playing as many as eight characters in a single show.

Some of Rick’s past roles as an actor include John in Oleana, Gordon in A New Brain, MacDuff in MacBeth, Serge in Art, Corin in As You Like It, Sebatian in Twelth Night, JP Finch in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Charlie Brown in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and Snoopy, the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, as well as several characters in Godspell, The Laramie Project, and The Investigation.

At the Playhouse Rick has appeared as Einstein in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, as many characters in Papa Gander's Twisted Tales, as Breako Bull in both the original and touring productions of The RecyclaBulls, and he has directed Nunsense.
