Patte Sarausky became involved in theater in sixth grade when she was cast as Gretel in the show Hansel and Gretel.   Since then she has continued being involved in theater in various capacities. In high school she was often found playing the French horn in the pit band when not on stage.  At Plymouth State College she moved from theater to
performing and touring with the Plymouth Singers.  Since moving to Laconia she has been active in On Stage Theater Company where she has done improv acting in murder mysteries.  On Stage highlights: Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella

For over 20 years she has been involved with many Streetcar Company shows.  Some highlights include Veta Louise - Harvey,  Aunt Eller- Oklahoma, and Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress.  Dance training has also been an important part of Patte's  life and she will be receiving her 20 year trophyfor dance at Frates Creative Arts Center.  At the  Playhouse she has been seen in Our Town and Momologues. She recently directed one of the teen plays for the Teen Playwriting Project. 

For several summers Patte was an assistant director, stage manager at KAT (Kearsarge Arts and Theater Company)  in New London, New Hampshire.  While at KAT Co. she taught movement classes as well as creative writing classes.  Patte has taught for 30 years in elementary schools throughout the Lakes Region and earned her Masters Degree from Lesley College in Creativity in Curriculum.  Theater continues to be an important extension to her school days as she has been the director of the drama program for Belmont Elementary School for 15 years and has been a choreographer for the past few years at Belmont High School.  Patte has danced and worked in shows with both Tegan and Tamara, her fellow Playhouse Camp Directors.
 
Working with the 5-7 year olds at the Playhouse camps will definitely be a highlight on her summer break from teaching!
